Traditional Welsh Tin Shed, Preseli Hills

Tin sheds are ubiquitous structures made from corrugated steel and their place in the landscape of Wales provide an insight into the social, cultural and industrial Welsh history. This ‘replica’ shed is built with a chunky larch frame, clad in corrugated zinc tin and finished with a handmade window sash and painted ledge and braced door. Traditional methods were employed where possible - including bending the tin around edges, using metal nails and washers, galvanised drips, handmade sash window with putty and lead flashings.
